Frequently Asked Questions

How Local is Local?

Our farm is 15 miles west of our farm stand location in Burlington, IL. Our 50-year-old family-owned and operated farm invite all area residents and locals to enjoy and partake in our locally grown plants and produce at our two quaint indoor markets on Lillian Street in Elgin, IL, and on Plank Road, Udina, Illinois.

Our customers can expect quality service from our veteran staff, who we call family. Customers can also take pleasure in buying our beautiful and robust annuals, vegetable plants, and herbs. In the summer months, one can purchase our much sought-after varieties of lettuce, tomatoes, sweet corn, peppers, beans, potatoes, melons, squash, pumpkins, plus much more.

With our farm close by, our customers will get the benefits of lower costs and environmentally friendly products picked every day at their peak of freshness. Because our produce is fresh and local, we do not incur high transportation fees, nor does it need to be sprayed with preservatives to account for travel. Furthermore, knowledgeable and local staff have helped plant, grow, water, and maintain the plants one sees on display.

We take pride in the plants and produce that we grow and the partner products that we carry: Wisconsin's finest cheese from Decatur Dairy, Busch's Gottenburg and liver sausage, Sechler's Pickles, Southern Illinois peaches and apples. We hope to pass our commitment to quality produce and plants to your gardens, porches, kitchens, and table.
